SAP TV recently visited the Republic of Ghana in West Africa. That’s where SAP is testing new business models that can be expanded for developing economies around the world. In partnership with SAP, Ghanaian farmers use modern technology to help run their businesses. For many, this can mean a secure income. SAP and its partners will present a broad spectrum of business solutions for small and midsize enterprises (SMEs) at CeBIT 2011. This year, Booth A18 in Hall 5 will prominently feature SAP Business ByDesign, the integrated on-demand solution that offers user-focused innovations such as support for mobile devices, real-time reports and analysis, and customizable user interfaces.

A total of 29 partners will present SAP solutions for small businesses and midsize companies, including SAP Business All-in-One, software for midsize companies with deep industry-specific capabilities, as well as SAP Business One for small companies and SAP BusinessObjects BI solutions. This mobile version of the integrated on-demand solution specifically dedicated to midsize companies is easy to use and available for free to all customers of feature pack 2.5 for SAP Business ByDesign, launched in July 2010, and requires only a user and password. Anyone who’s stuck in traffic during rush hour will welcome AUS Traffic, the new iPhone app from SAP that can help drivers cut down on both time and nerves. AUS Traffic helps people navigate their way around traffic jams and road construction areas in Brisbane and Sydney, two of Australia’s busiest cities. This app was developed by SAP Research and automatically searches in Twitter for relevant traffic updates and displays them on a Google city map. (more…)
