SAP today announced that it is building on its collaboration with Google to help customers manage large data volumes in intuitive, visual displays and facilitate faster, more-informed decisions. SAP plans to enhance its business analytics software with location-based data capabilities, allowing people to interact with real-time information via Google Maps. The plans continue a strong history of collaboration between the companies, most recently on advances for SAP StreamWork.

It’s been an exciting couple of months for SAP StreamWork. If you’re one the many users of our collaborative decision-making software, you probably noticed that we recently added support for OpenSocial – a common set of programming standards used by many social web applications.

What does this mean? Well, to start, as a user you now have access to a much wider array of tools and capabilities. And, if you’re a developer using the OpenSocial API, you can register your application with SAP StreamWork to make it available to our users via the tools catalog. Big things! (more…)

Broadening the range of tools and functionality available to users of the SAP StreamWork application, SAP is introducing support for OpenSocial, a common set of programming standards used by many social web applications.

Developers of applications using the popular OpenSocial API (application programming interface) can now register their tools with SAP StreamWork and make them available to users via the “Tools Catalog” in SAP StreamWork. Read the newsbyte.
