SAP today announced it has been named the overall market share leader in the worldwide BI market, owning nearly a quarter of the market according to the April 2011 report issued by Gartner Inc. – “Market Share Analysis: Business Intelligence (BI), Analytics and Performance Management, 2010, Worldwide.” In the report, SAP ranks No. 1 with 23 percent share of the worldwide market based on revenue. SAP today announced a new road map of in-memory applications that will help customers to become real-time businesses, transforming the way they think, plan and operate. Based on a foundation of SAP In-Memory Computing technology, SAP will  deliver a new reality for enterprise software. The company introduced entirely new types of applications that were unimaginable before in-memory computing, and plans to renew existing SAP solutions with in-memory computing technology. The announcement was made during the SAP Run Better Tour, being held today in Boston.
